A Window to the Past - Trinidad Independent Production

Category: Movie News

Free File Hosting at FileHive.com

A collaboration by 3 Independent Local production companies:
CJ Pictures Entertainment/ Yeti Video Production/ Total Chaos Productions

A truly remarkable tale to be told envisioning the reality of poverty in our country.
Though not seen by many of us, the film aims to depict what really exists and from the trailer below it looks like a real winner in telling a tale that may inspire us all.
Toss in some local comedic performances that will have the Trini’s rolling and some serious undertones to what would be a great film.

Check out the preview below and be sure to check out “A Window to the Past” when it premieres, this Saturday, 18th October on Local Channel CNMG @ 8:30pm (Trini time).

Iron Man makes money - Iron Man 2 on its way…

Category: Movie News

Everyone knows Iron Man opened this past friday and without a doubt owned the competition.

Iron Man took in $201 Million globally this past weekend (Friday to Sunday) making it the 10th biggest opening in history as well as the 2nd best non-sequel opening, 2nd to your friendly neighbourhood hero, Spider-man.

As a result of this, Marvel and Paramount quickly jump to say that Iron Man 2 is on its way for an April 30th, 2010 release date.

They also give a taste on what other projects are to come following Iron Man 2:

Weekend Box Office (April 18 - 20, 2008)

When you have 2 of the best, *or* the 2 best martial artistes in the same film for the first time, you know you have a crowd going crazy for this. And this weekend, its no surprise Jackie Chan and Jet Li’s collaboration film “The Forbidden Kingdom” owns the Box Office easily with a final opening weekend gross figure of
$21,401,121.

“Forgetting Sarah Marshall” was the only other film with a shot for the #1 spot but failed and settled for #2 with $17,725,330.

Having seen The Forbidden Kingdom myself, I can add that it was worthy of its performance.
Since this is the first day since MovieSpire.com was launched , a review is not yet up
but expect one soon.

Here’s the top 10 Grossing films for the weekend (April 18 - 20, 2008):

  • 1.) The Forbidden Kingdom
  • 2.) Forgetting Sarah Marshall
  • 3.) Prom Night
  • 4.) 88 Minutes
  • 5.) Nim’s Island
  • 6.) 21
  • 7.) Street Kings
  • 8.) Horton Hears A Who
  • 9.) Leatherheads
  • 10.) Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed

New G.I.Joe Live Action Pictures.

Category: Movie News

Yes that’s not a typo folks there are some new pics from the upcoming live action film including those of Rip-Cord, Baroness, Hawk and Storm Shadow.

Here is a Glimpse:

Ok at first I was a bit divided on the look of the costumes and how it isn’t close to the original cartoon but they are starting to grow on me and I can’t wait to see them in action.
